When the original coating failed on this stove top grate, we made the recommendation to strip the original coating and apply some beautiful Glacier Black Cerakote to the grates. With the ability to stand up to temperatures up to 2000 degrees, we knew this would be the right solution for finish that would do the job and look great for years to come!
We recently purchased a new gas range top. Have had it several months and the burner grates started to get a powdery coating on them as well as on the pots. This had never happened before. We tried to figure out what was causing it. Spoke with a neighbor with the same appliance and they were not having the same issue. We tried washing the grates to no avail. We had learned about Cerakote and after speaking with Etchus about its high temperature capability, decided to have them Cerakote one burner grate for a trial. To date, (3 weeks) we have not noticed any powder residue on the newly done burner grate. We are now going to have the rest of the burner grates treated with Cerakote as we are extremely pleased with the outcome. Hats off to Etchus!
