Long time in the making

This rifle has a very sentimental value to me. It was given to me by my father. Instead of going down and buying a new rifle I decided to build this one because I know I'll have it the rest of my life. With that in mind I was going to build this rifle into exactly what I wanted. After the build was complete, I was not happy with the finish on the rifle. After speaking to many different Cerakote dealers I began to get discouraged. Nobody wanted to give me what I wanted. Everybody had their own idea of how it should look and nobody wanted to touch the optics. When I found IA Coatings I took my rifle up to their shop and told them what I was trying to achieve. I was so glad to hear after I told them what I wanted that it was no problem. They even suggested some things that I didn't even think were possible. It seemed like they were hungry for a challenge. I kept on asking question after question after question and Rick and Tracey were right there the whole way to answer them. After I dropped all of the parts off, I started thinking in my head, why does everybody else tell me no it can't be done and these guys didn't even bat an eye at it. I got my answer when I finally got back into town and picked up all the finish parts. It was flawless! Everything was painstakingly masked off with nice crisp edges. Rick was even able to add more texture to the front and the grip on the stock. Way better than the manufactures texture. They even disassembled the lens covers and painted each piece one by one. Perfection is what I demanded but not what I expected. I ended up getting a finish way better than I ever expected. It's obvious to me now that Rick and the rest of the crew at IA Coatings are more of a perfectionist than I am. They don't back down from a challenge. And they turned out an outstanding finish product. If you want your coating done right or have an idea that somebody says can't be done. Talk to these guys. They are very creative and committed to perfection.
