When this Olympic Arms AR-9 came into the shop, my eyebrow raised with concern. An accident had happened and it had near catastrophic results. Water absorption chemicals (salt basically) had spilled onto it! The client had cleaned it, but not well enough for this concentrated corrosive liquid! The rust and corrosion was EVERYWHERE! It took weeks of soaking parts to get them apart! In the end though, I was able to remove everything, clean what I could and replace the small pins, springs, and other parts that were damaged. Once apart and assessed it was savable, that is when the fun began. 😁 going with a forest themed color and camouflage and turned this into a one of a kind piece of Washington history.
