Is there a recommended type of degreaser to use? Can I use any kind?

We recommend acetone or brake parts cleaner. Applicators will need to be aware of the substrate they're degreasing and use the appropriate cleaner for the substrate. Acetone is a strong degreaser and may deform or weaken softer substrates.

Is Catalyst required with H-Series Cerakote? If yes, is it supplied or should it be purchased?

The Elite and the H-Series Cerakote are the only Cerakote Series that require Catalyst. The Catalyst is included with your purchase, and we send enough Catalyst to mix your entire bottle at an 18:1 ratio.

What's the cost of a Cerakote kit without the spray gun?

The Cerakote kits are not available without a spray gun. If you do not want the spray gun with the kit, we recommend buying the Cerakote colors by themselves.
