Our typical Cerakote work is performed as a part of a custom rifle build or a firearm rebuild or restoration. This project was a rebuild of a Remington 788 from a .223 Rem to a 20 VarTarg. The specs are:
22” Douglas 1-11 twist barrel chambered in a Todd Kindler 20 VarTarg dimensioned for Lapua brass (221 Fireball), 22” length,
Harrells Brake
Timney 1.5 lb. Trigger
Boyd Stock (second grade from eBay), Bedded with Steel Bed and AL pillars.
Cerakote Vortex Bronze and Micro Slick on the bolt
I polished the striker and replaced the striker spring.
Trued the receiver face, precision surface grind the recoil lug, pinned recoil lug with the receiver.
